Globalfix 406
Incorporates internal GPS
engine for a convenient, all-in-one EPIRB. This new EPIRB is faster than
standard 406 EPIRB when LAT/LONG data is transmitted through GEOSAR
satellite system. The Category I Automatic is supplied with a fully
enclosed polyethylene bracket to withstand extremely abusive environments.
The Category II Manual is supplied complete with a mounting bracket.
The unit transmits on 406 MHz
(COSPAS-SARSAT) with your registered, unique, digitally-coded distress
signal, and 121.5 MHz (SAR homing frequency). It has a built-in
strobe for enhanced location in poor visibility conditions and 5-year
replacement life lithium battery
